October

It's a month perfect to watch Horror films.I originally planned to watch around 31 horror films, average out 1 a day.On Halloween watching the classic "Night of the Living Dead", it's almost a tradition.
So far i've only watched two :
"Madhouse" (1974)
"Premature Death" (1962)
I'll still watch "Halloween" and "Night of the Living Dead" and maybe it's remake, "Phantasm" will be on the list too.
Tell CV the films you might watch this Halloween season.

True Grit

Here's the trailer for the remake or re-adaption of the novel.
Looks good but the original was such a true classic of a film.

Sorry Cinema Fans

I didn't know that it's almost been 2 months since i posted at the CV. Between computer bugs, online and offline stuff and being lazy have kept the place in the dark.

So how about a screen capture of the lovely Eartha Kitt from 1959 in the film "Mark of the Hawk".

Hope you enjoy!

Tura

The fascinating Tura Satana appearing as an exotic dancer in the early 60's Dean Martin film "Who's Been Sleeping In My Bed?'.
Only the King of Cool would have the Queen of Cool in his movie.

Hammer Film That Needs To Be On Region DVD

That's Your Funeral

One of the many 70's era Hammer comedies based on a British sitcom. Great cast of British actors from television and film.

Dennis Hopper

R.I.P.

Dennis Hopper has died after a long battle with lung cancer at 74. If he had just made Easy Rider he still would have been a film legend but he had a long varied career.

Dorothy Provine

Dorothy Provine passed away last Sunday at the age of 75. She'll most likely be remembered for the classic "It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World"and "That Darn Cat".

Beautiful and a wonderful comedic actress, rest in peace.

Godzilla Remake In The Works

Legendary films to remake Godzilla.

The giant Japanese monster is getting the Hollywood treatment — again. This time Legendary Pictures will do an American Godzilla movie, based on Toho Company’s legendary monster. The studio, which is behind the upcoming Clash of the Titans, has made it clear it won’t be a sequel to the 1998 film that Sony and Roland Emmerich made. (That movie starring Matthew Broderick grossed close to $400 million worldwide.) Rather, it will be a re-imagining of the original Godzilla movies. Legendary has plans to announce a director for the film soon. The movie — which Legendary hopes to release in 2012 — will be a co-production and co-financing deal with Warner Bros, and Toho will distribute the film in Japan.

Question

I was wondering, does anyone read this blog?
Not that it's important, i figure CV is mostly a vanity blog for me.
The fine blogs i've linked to, none have linked back.
One follower (THANK YOU!) and ilovedinomartin has reblogged CV (THANK YOU!).

Just want to know if anyone else is out there...

Beuller?

Dean Martin

Here's a cap of Dean in Sergeants 3. Just watched the movie, it's one of the 2 films to star all of the Rat Pack.

Matt Helm

Silencers soundtrack, music by the great Elmer Bernstein. Title song sung by Vikki Carr.

Bond Trailer

Man With The Golden Gun (1974)

Matt Helm

More Wrecking Crew

Matt Helm

Wrecking Crew (1969)
Directed by Phil Karlson
Screenplay by William P. McGivern
Starring Dean Martin for the last time as Matt Helm
Elke Sommer
Sharon Tate (in one of her last roles)
Nancy Kwan
Nigel Green
Chuck Norris (His first film role)
Tina Louise
John Larch

This was the final film in the Matt Helm series. Although plans were afoot for a fifth film ("The Ravagers"), as well as a proposed teaming with Frank Sinatra for "Matt Helm Meets Tony Rome", the poor box-office showing of both "The Wrecking Crew" and Sinatra's second go round as Rome in "Lady In Cement" brought the Matt Helm series to an end.

Ian Carmichael

Just have to post a few screencaps of Ian Carmichael who we lost earlier this week, he was one of my favorite actors and much loved in the UK. To me he was the best Lord Peter Wimsey. He passed away at 89 and was still working in 2009. From classic British film comedies to classic tv roles, he did it all.
